Hey, I’m Spencer—the founder and Head instructor behind Spencer’s Skim School.
I’ve been skimboarding for over 25 years, and I started this to help people learn the right way without the frustration.
Whether it’s your first time or you’re looking to improve, I focus on building confidence, fast progression, and making it fun!
Instructor - Tobi “Tobster” Blount
Tobi Blount is a Panama City Beach local who started skimboarding as a way to stay stoked when the surf was flat. He brings a creative, style-driven approach to riding, whether he’s throwing tricks or locking into waves and cruising them out. As an instructor, he loves helping the next generation progress and build confidence on the board. And off the water—don’t challenge him to bowling unless you’re ready to lose!
Private Lessons(1hr)
The Private Lesson is the fastest way to learn and progress in skimboarding. With one-on-one (or small buddy group) coaching, everything is tailored to your pace and skill level, so you get the most out of every minute in the water. We’ll break down the fundamentals, build confidence, and get you riding waves as quickly as possible — all while keeping it fun, relaxed, and high-energy. Whether it’s your first time stepping on a board or you’re looking to level up, this is your shortcut to real progress in the shore break.

Ultimate Skim Experience (2hr)
The Ultimate Skim Experience is your all-access pass to the most fun you can have in the shore break. This two-hour group session is all about learning, progressing, and getting as many rides as possible while keeping the energy high. You’ll build confidence, learn to read waves, and start linking everything together — all while having a blast with your group. Plus, we capture the best moments so you can take home a framed action shot from your session.
